Kyle David Rudolf
Mexican American tenor Kyle Rudolf is originally from San Diego, California. After much anticipation, Kyle joins Opera Santa Barbara as a Chrisman Studio Artist for the 2022-2023 season. Most recently, Kyle made a thrilling international debut in the roles of Rodolfo in La Bohème and Duca in Rigoletto with the Mediterranean Opera Studio & Festival. In the Fall of 2021, Kyle’s versatility as a performer captivated audiences in the role of Anthony Candolino in Terrance McNally’s play Master Class at the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma.
He is a proud graduate of Oklahoma City University, where he obtained a Master’s while studying under Jeffrey Picòn. While at OCU, Kyle performed the roles of The Magician in The Consul, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, and Jenik in The Bartered Bride. Other notable appearances include Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor and Tamino in The Magic Flute with Opera in the Ozarks, and Aeneas in Dido & Aeneas with Santa Monica College Opera Theater. Kyle has also participated in master classes with Catherine Cook, Ron Raines, Carol Vaness, Mikael Eliasen, Leslie Swackhammer, Ellen Rissinger, as well as other operatic luminaries. Currently, Kyle continues his vocal studies under the tutelage of internationally renowned tenor Jack LiVigni.
